We are in the early stage where we are developing the product. We have got into bumps where we are in need of capital to be able to build out our service and to expand globally.
Where will your company be in 5 years?
Our ambition is to be able to build a private cloud storage platform that will be safe, secure, as well as end-to-end encrypted. We hope to be competing alongside companies such as Dropbox, Sync(.com), Mega, and Box.
How will you make money?
We will be making money through renting out properties to people like AirBnB does except we will have control of the properties and the experience that our customers will be getting. We also want to work on making sure that people don't have their experiences destroyed which can ruin Visno's brand. We want to make sure that exclusivity and experience is what we sell to our customers when they vacation and stay at one of our properties.
What do you understand about your business that others don't get?
We are working to disrupt the luxury travel industry. When it comes to vacation rentals we want to put an end to the middle man. You may be wondering what is the "middle man" exactly? The middle man is the one that can hurt or ruin the experience of the customer and can hurt the company's brand. Let's give these vacation rentals and AirBnB an example. AirBnB as well as vacation rental firms tend to rely on other people and they provide a website and a mobile app for people to either rent out someone else's house or rent their own place to someone. You would think that this is okay until you start realize that there is a problem. The person that rents out someone else's house can probably trash that place and a landowner may treat a traveller really badly and these things can hurt the branding of the company. This is what I mean by the "middle man" because it can hurt a company's image. You can even google up "AirBnB horror stories" and you will find many customers and landowners that got upset with AirBnB after these crazy incidents had happened. We want to solve this by buying out the properties and make money renting them out to people that want to stay in them. In this way we have complete control of everything with no middle man which can allow us to have a good branding and as well as create a good experience for our customers.
How will you acquire customers?
We will spend money on ads through Facebook, Twitter, and Google to acquire new and amazing customers. These ad platforms will target the people most likely to look for luxury vacation retreats and it will direct some traffic to our sites.
What's your biggest risk? What keeps you up at night?
The biggest risk is the fact that this is a new business model that has never been tried before. If it works then the company can scale high in profitability bringing in good returns for our investors. But if it fails, the company can face quarters of short term growth in terms of profits.
Who are your competitors? How are you different?
We are competing with luxury vacation rental firms, AirBnB, and Luxury Retreats. We are different because we will be offering a new kind of business model to the rest of the world that has never been tried before. We will focus on buying up properties and controlling the experience we give to our clients. We will make money by renting these properties out to individuals.
Are we competing against AirBnB?
Yes we are in fact. But we are challenging them with a new business model which we have strong confidence that it will be working. Experience has always made a traveling company successful and we want to bring quality experience to the luxury travel industry. Unlike AirBnB which has the middle man, we are going to be working to put an end to the middle man which means we won't have to share profits with anyone, we have control of our properties, and we will be able to control the quality and experience for our customers.
Will we have mobile apps?
Yes we will have mobile apps. We will publish our mobile apps on the Play Store (Android) and on the App Store (iOS).
Why is our website a bit out of date?
We had to deploy a website in order to have the chance to display our webpage with our domain. Our actual website for the company's rentals is still in development and will take about a while to do which will be a complete redesign of our website. The redesign of our website will have a booking system as well as a payment system with a full list of properties.
Where will your money go towards?
All your money will be going towards building our mobile apps and buying properties for the company to have a complete experience of. As of this capital raise, the founders will take a very minimum salary in order to focus more on developing this company and challenging AirBnB with the end of the middle man.
