We’ve now concluded the second month since the Wefunder second round financing was successfully completed. As in previous months, I wanted to provide you with an update on the many things happening with our OodlesDeals mobile app, and overall at the company.
OodlesDeals Kicks Off The New Year With Events @ All Four Universities
In last month’s report, I talked about OodlesDeals officially launching @ the end of August ’18 at CSU - Sac. Since then, thousands of students have signed up on the OodlesDeals app at CSU - Sac, and have happily joined their fellow students at U of O - Eugene, CSU - Chico, and UC - Davis, the three other Universities where OodlesDeals is present, and are enjoying the scorching deals available on the app.
As was the case at CSU - Chico, the OodlesDeals marketing team joined forces with Greek societies at several of these other campuses, to execute events to kick off the new school year. The photo shown below, taken at CSU - Chico at the OodlesDeals kick-off event at a well known Pizzeria close to campus, captures the sentiment perfectly, as felt at each of these events.
Similarly to what the OodlesDeals marketing team did at the CSU - Sac launch, Oodles gave a philanthropic donation to each Greek organization we partnered with at each school. This philanthropy aligns perfectly with the overall mission of Oodles Corporation, to help accelerate social relationships for our users. Since the launch at CSU - Sac, OodlesDeals has provided significant dollar contributions to these organizations, and will continue to do so in the future.
Customer Transaction Revenue Resumes Its Monthly Growth
With all four schools where OodlesDeals is available now back in full swing, and a multitude of new and existing vendors on the OodlesDeals app since the last school year, growth in student transactions via the app has resumed its upward monthly growth.
The following chart is one that should be familiar — in the June ’18 monthly Wefunder report, at the end of the school year, I had provided the same data for the full ’17 - ’18 school year. This updated chart includes data through the end of September ’18, the most recent month concluded. It’s a pretty self-explanatory chart.
School is now in full swing at each of the four Universities where OodlesDeals is available. The OodlesDeals marketing team executed kick-off events at each of these schools when they reopened, bringing awareness back to the students of the scorching deals they can enjoy throughout the year via the OodlesDeals app.
The entire OodlesDeals team is committed to increasing the number of students exposed to the OodlesDeals app, at each of these four schools, and the number of vendors from whom such deals will be available, over the course of the new school year.
